Tuba player and year 9 student Robin Hall, clarinettist Tara Williamson, also in year 9 and euphonium player, year 10 student Chloe Allen have all been chosen following nomination by tutors from the Western band camp earlier this year.
Robin has been playing the tuba for four years and is a member of the Dubbo City Concert Band and the Dubbo College South Campus Jazz Ensemble.
Aspiring music teachers Tara and Chloe have been playing for six and seven years respectively.
All are excited to be selected in the state wind band and looking forward to the opportunity to perform in the Opera House in August.
Their music teacher at South Campus Emma Kersley said the three students are very self-motivated.
"They are all talented musicians who are able to undertake independent practice," she said.
"They have been given the music for their performance and are practicing at home and in school interest groups.
"Their inclusion in the band is a wonderful opportunity for them to meet and mix with other talented musicians from throughout the state, and to spend time with top-class tutors and teachers.
"We are really proud of these students and we wish them well for this amazing experience."
