The Daily Liberal will run submitted ideas to maintain and boost the festival in its print edition, website and Facebook page.
Residents and visitors can share their thoughts on what they believe needs improving, and what can be added to the event to ensure it is a success.
The Dream Festival, which was attended by over 11,000 people last year, faces a withdrawal of funding from Dubbo City Council.
The council allocated $140,000 to the event over its first four years, and has given $40,000 to this year's festival.
The funding cut could kill off the annual event, according to organisers.
The festival has been gaining in support each year.
It was born from a plan to create an iconic festival in Dubbo, as part of the councils 2036 Strategic Plan.
Dream Festival Committee vice chairman, Anne Field, said ideas from the community were essential to not only the event's survival, but its growth to a level where it can rival the Tamworth Music Festival or Parkes Elvis Festival.
"We love hearing from the community with their ideas for how to improve the festival and always welcome any feedback," Ms Field said.
