They will compete in two divisions playing a modified tag AFL 9s form of the game.
Members of the Dubbo Demons AFL side and Matthew Johnson from NSW AFL will be on hand throughout the day to umpire, give the players tips on the game and generally provide support, before the carnival concludes with a trophy presentation.
"This is the fifth year I've been doing this carnival and it's been going even longer than that, it's something that has developed a lot over time," Dubbo College Delroy Campus special education teacher Jessica Jones said.
"The kids don't get to compete in a lot of mainstream sporting events so they really love the opportunity to get out and run around, kick the ball and have a good time."
As well as the 110 players from the seven schools, about 30 student spectators from Delroy's special education unit will be cheering on their school mates from the sidelines.
With Sydney Swans currently second on the AFL premiership ladder and the Greater Western Sydney Giants not far behind in fifth, the students have plenty of inspiration in the build-up to the carnival.
"We will split the players into two groups, one for the players that are a bit more physical and one for the players that aren't, but it's really just about them enjoying themselves.
"We're lucky that the Dubbo Demons and Matt Johnson will be there because they provide the equipment and knowledge of AFL, and they referee as well, which leaves me to be able to get around and make sure the kids are really enjoying the day."
