In the other half of the draw, Sean Cairns and Ace Taylor demolished Darren Connolly and Matt Thompson to the tune of 26-6, to reach the final.
As defending champions, they await the outcome of the other semi-final due to be played before Saturday, June 13.

CITY WOMEN
Last week the No.2 Pennant players were acknowledged and applauded on their one game win over Forbes in the Region play-offs.
This week is regarding No.3 Pennant players in their Region play-offs. Writer can report that they came in second with wins against both Mudgee and Orange and losing to the eventual winner Cowra. The conditions on Tuesday morning May 19 were difficult so it was pleasing that the City players were able to defeat Mudgee. However, in the afternoon the weather was even worse than the morning being very wet and windy and very uncomfortable playing.
Cowra handled the conditions better and won the game against City. Wednesday May 20 was by far a better day weather wise and City were happy with their bowling to win the game when they played Orange. Well done players.

DUBBO RAILWAY
Saturday May 23 saw the Major Singles and Major Pairs finals played, in the singles Mick Rea was taking on last year's champion Jono Davis. Mick Rea began the game really flying out to a 8-1 lead however the little Maestro Jono Davis put his head down and came away with a great win and managed to rap up his second Major Singles at the ripe old age of 14. On behalf of the club I would like to congratulate both Mick and Jono on this tremendous achievement and wish Jono all the best when he competes in the District Champion of Champions later in the year.
The Major Pairs was a great battle between Edward and Troy Mortimer who were playing Max Low and Mathew McIntyre. Edward and Troy began the match in great fashion jumping out to a early lead however Max and Mat clawed their way back and managed to secure the title for 2015. I would like to congratulate both finalist and wish both Max and Mathew all the best when competing in the District Champion of champion pairs.
Pennants for 2015 has come to a end with Dubbo Railway winning the Zone 4 Grade 1 and Grade 4 flags. All pennant grades performed outstanding both Grade 2 and Grade 5 sides ran second in their respective grades. On behalf of the club I would like to congratulate everyone that played pennants throughout 2015. I would also like to wish our Grade 1 side all the best travelling to Albion Park to contest the state playoffs and all the best to our grade 4 side travelling to Narrandera.
There was one game of Pennants scheduled this weekend in grade 1 however we will not be playing as West Dubbo has forfeited this match.
Minor Pairs were played over the weekend with two games been played Glen Parker and Craig McLeod defeated Mark Duggan and Adam Cochrane in what was a
outstanding game. Alan Buck and Ian Moses defeated Dave Forkin and Col Beasley in what was a cracker of a game and could went either way.

NARROMINE
The A-grade singles championships continued on their merry way Saturday, and once again, that old chestnut, the upset, was the talking point after the completionof this round of fixtures.
John Edwards has been the A-grade singles champion at Narromine Bowling Club three times in the past decade, and was expected to be too strong for Henry Buttsworth on Saturday morning, and when those window tappers got up there to find the match finished, most pundits would have assumed that Johno was in fact too good, but in this case most pundits would have been wrong.
My spy at the event told me that Henry simply outplayed Johno in all facets of the game, as the scoreline of 31-7 would suggest, and if Henry can maintain that form will be very hard to stop in this event.
To date Henry has defeated three members of our grade 2 squad, namely Steven Riley, Boppa Daley and now John Edwards, so without doubt his form is unquestionable, and he gets a chance to beat another grade 2 bowler in Jay Stephenson.
Stephenson beat former club champion Don Sullivan and simply jumped out of the blocks on short ends against "Sully" leading 10-1 and was able to maintain this advantage right the way through, despite his opponent winning his share of the longer ends played.
As expected Peter Payne and Robbie Stanford was a real close contest.
Given Payne's recent form during the Pennant season, it wasn't surprising that Robbie had to pull out a couple of specials late in the contest to sneak home 31-29.
In the last A-grade singles contest Aaron Hutchison just had too many answers for president Kevie in their Sunday morning joust, the final score was 31-18 in favour of Aaron who is now through to the semi-finals, but has a wait for another catch up match between Budd Cape and Robbie Stanford to find out who his opponent in this game will be.
So five left standing in our A-grade singles championships, and after Saturday only four left in the B Pairs event, where in the semi-finals Andrew Macqueen and Luke Hutchison won their encounter with Bill Shaw and Sam Crook in a high quality fixture that went right down to the wire.
The same could be said of the other semi-final, which featured Jimmy Daley and "Legs" Hartis up against Geoff Bohm (sub for Bob Davis) and David Price.
With just one end to play the scores were locked up, but as is the case in bowls there can be only one winner and in this case Jimmy and "Legs" get to fight another day.
This Saturday morning some 56 bowlers will be in action on 'Fino Day', all attempting to add their names to the "Shield", and perhaps sample a Drambuie or two.
Pennant season came to an end last Sunday for our Grade 6 squad, who hosted a red hot Coonamble outfit in fine form.
Our boys just lacked the X factor, and couldn't put enough pressure on their opponents to make the battle more interesting.
This allowed the Coonamble team to simply have a day out, which they did, and in the end the final winning margin of 20 shots reflects the type of outing our boys had, although one rink, under the control of skipper Peter Payne did enjoy a modicum of success, winning by about half a dozen shots.
This rink, namely David Price, Aaron Clark, Luke Hutchison and Peter Payne, have improved each week and by season's end have a winning strike rate.
Social bowls this week saw a dozen gentlemen take to the green Thursday afternoon and just four soldiers went around Sunday morning with the chook run.
Now the Pennant season is over hopefully the Sunday morning numbers at least, will improve.
Good to see Peter Cross having a "Roll" Sunday morning, the six month spell didn't hurt his form and he and partner Mick Wright won very convincingly against Robert Bateman and Bob Davis.
