The 14-year-old girl has been remanded in custody in Sydney since January when she was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The young person, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is yet to enter a plea to the allegation she stabbed the taxi driver in the throat with a knife.
When the matter last came before Dubbo Children's Court in April it was adjourned for the defence to make representations to the Crown.
This week the girl appeared once more via audio-visual link from her place of remand.
The court heard the defence had completed the task but no response had been received.
The Crown asked for a further six weeks to allow further consideration of the representations.
The girl's solicitor asked for a shorter adjournment and for time to travel to the juvenile justice at Sydney to gain instructions.
Magistrate Claire Girotto ordered the Crown to respond to the defence representations by June 9 and adjourned the wounding charge and a larceny charge until June 15.
As the teen left the link-up room she farewelled her mother, who was seated in the court at Dubbo.
"See you. Love you," she said, and blew a kiss to her mother.
The girl, then aged 13, is alleged to have stabbed the taxi driver in the throat with a knife between 2.00am and 2.30am on January 24, before jumping out of the moving vehicle.
The 66-year-old driver was treated at Dubbo Hospital and despite sustaining a 5cm wound, police were told the injury was not life threatening.
Wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in jail.
The girl also is facing unrelated charges that were adjourned until June 1.
