Following a round one bye, the Raiders defeated Cobar but since then have slumped to losses against Wellington, rivals CYMS and the Parkes Spacemen.
On?Saturday they're in action against the Nyngan Tigers at Caltex Park and while captain Anthony Egan is keen for a win he said there was no need to panic at this stage of the season.
"We've got so many new players and we're only four games in so we don't need to stress yet," he said.
"If we have a win and go on a little run of two or three then we're back on top again so we can't stress about it."
Egan said his team needs to stay calm in matches and felt if they could break through on Saturday then it would put the side in a better place.
"A win would take a lot of the pressure off but it's not that simple, our attitude has got to be right and we've just got to be doing what we've been doing and keep getting that bit better."
The biggest problem for the Raiders so far this season has been their inability to see out the full 80 minutes.
In the matches against CYMS and Parkes they fell away in the second half and slumped to heavy losses.
"We play 30 or 40 minutes of decent footy and then go to sleep just before or after half-time," Egan said.
"We can't give away back-to-back penalties and then drop the ball and that's what we seem to be doing."
Nyngan have suffered an inconsistent start to the season with wins over Narromine and Cobar coupled with losses to Forbes and Wellington but Egan said the passionate Tigers could never be taken lightly.
In terms of the Macquarie team, there is a significant change with Jack Kelly coming into the squad for star hooker Jeremy Smith.
James McKinnon is also out meaning Jade Hooper starts at prop while in a boost for the Raiders, Norman Button is back after overcoming a hand injury.
Smith is out after being injured in an incident which occurred last Sunday night, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The matter is ongoing and is being investigated by police.
Smith's injuries have also forced him to be withdrawn from the Western Division side, who meet the Greater Northern Tigers on May 30.
Rams coach Michael Sullivan and his selection committee are yet to name a replacement but Wellington's Richard Peckham and Bathurst Panther Luke Carpenter are rumoured to be in the running.
Saturday's action between Macquarie and Nyngan at Caltex Park begins with the under-18s at 11.30am, followed by the reserve grade and then first grade fixtures.
