Eleven of the Reds were making their rugby debut in the first half and held their own against a very well-drilled Narromine squad.
The game started and finished fast-paced and the Reds put up a strong defence against a rampaging Narromine team with the first of four first-half tries coming from Narromine on the back of some courageous line defence from the entire Reds team.
There was some very good patches in the first half with great rugby and attack from Corey Hyland, Nick Jasprizza, Kain Simpson and Dallas Towney as a strong front row with all of the forwards never taking a backwards step.
The scrums and lineouts stayed solid with Ben Hey, Oscar Matthews and Lachlan Pobje rotating in the second row and providing a solid base.
All of the loose forwards and locks played a frantic game but didn't manage to penetrate a solid Narromine line.
A very strong wind played in Narromine's advantage in the second half as the hosts ran away with a 50-0 win that wasn't reflective of the effort the Dubbo boys put in.
The Thorne brothers, Oliver and Charles, both had a great game but unfortunately Charles injured his forearm in the later stages of the first half.
Thomas Isbester, Buddy Kennedy, Beau London, Liam Daly, Edward Foran, James Logan and James Dennis all held their own in the backs with great spirit and toughness.
Will Larkin led from the front at No.8 and was everywhere to be seen, while Jacob Proberts and Lachlan Ryan also some solid hits in the game, keeping Narromine concerned about the Reds coming at them.
Jake Arnaudon found his place with a great game in five eighth, linking up with Baye Wallace at fullback, who was also rock solid under the high ball.
Narromine managed to gain the advantage in the tighter parts of the game and the Reds matched them out wide, with the majority of Narromine's points coming from relentless attack up the ruck.
