Ms Amor is one of the 2015 Dubbo Showgirl entrants.
“It’s always been something that I wanted to do when I got older. I always looked up to the showgirls and aspired to be one, one day,” she said.
The 22-year-old is currently studying a masters in teaching at the University of New England, having completed a bachelor of animal science.
“I went to St John’s for high school. I went to the ag farm one day and pretty much fell in love.”
Ms Amor said she was hoping to become an agriculture teacher once she finished the final year of her masters.
“I’d like to work in Dubbo - I don’t think I’m cut out for the city - but if not Dubbo, definitely a regional centre,” she said.
“I’m passionate about getting kids and young people involved in ag, and keeping them in the rural area.”
For Ms Amor, who has lived at Dubbo since she was in year 1, becoming the 2015 Dubbo Showgirl would provide her with public speaking experience and allow her to meet new people.
“It would be a great opportunity to network and build some strong links to the ag community in Dubbo and surrounds.”
Ms Amor said she had been showing shorthorn and Angus cattle since she was in year 7.
