PUNTERS across Australia would have been yelling 'Yabba Dabba Doo' on Saturday night when the pacer named after Fred Flintstone's famous catchphrase produced a brilliant win in the Radio 2DU Pace (1720m) at Dubbo Paceway.

The Steve Turnbull-trained five-year-old had been a model of consistency prior a failure at Bathurst on April 1, but bounced back to form with a stunning win on a rain-soaked racing surface.
With Mitch Turnbull in the gig, Yabba Dabba Doo ($2.30 fav) came from well back in the field to mow down Spanish Lustre ($4.90, Angela Hedges), with Waikare Madonna ($34.60, Garry Edwards) filling third place.
From gate seven, Turnbull elected to go back on the stallion in an effort to get away from the pegs.
The move proved to be a masterstroke, as Yabba Dabba Doo was able to get moving at just the right time.
Up front, Hedges had rated Spanish Lustre perfectly, recording splits of 32.0s and 32.1s for the first half of the last mile.
She increased the tempo heading up the back straight for the final time, running the third quarter in 30.9s but by that stage Yabba Dabba Doo was mobile and in hot pursuit.
Rounding the turn Spanish Lustre kicked, but the momentum Turnbull's runner had gained was too much and he went on to win by 7.6m in a reasonable mile rate of 2:01.7.
Saturday night's win was Yabba Dabba Doo's seventh from 33 starts, and along with 13 minor placings he has banked in excess of $35,000 for his connections.
Meanwhile, Peter Reynolds' handy pacer Tommy Tuppence bounced back to form with a narrow win in the West Dubbo IGA Pace (1720m).
After sitting in the death seat for the most of the trip, Tommy Tuppence ($3.30 fav) took the lead up the back straight the last time and, despite being headed at one stage, fought back and held off the late surge of Hayes And Kydd ($14.60, Jason Gaffney).
The gelding has now won six races from 28 starts and earned Reynolds and his fellow owner Fred Tillman almost $30,000 in prizemoney.
