It seems rain has been seen by some farmers across the wider region while others have missed out on the lifesaving water entirely.
It's great news for those farmers who did get a few showers over the Easter Long Weekend - especially during a few downpours yesterday - with some desperate for a little rain before they start their winter crops.
One farmer went so far as to say based on the rain they had received over the past weekend, and future predictions the drought could be over. Can we hope?
However it seems that others have missed out completely, saying they will continue to struggle until more rain falls across the wider region.
Here in Dubbo it was a welcome sound on Monday morning and early afternoon as the rain bucketed down.
Between 9am and 2pm yesterday Dubbo had officially recorded a beautiful 16mm according to official figures on the Bureau of Meteorology.
We are now keeping our fingers tightly crossed that predictions for rain in coming days and weeks are correct, and those continuing to struggle receive a little rain as well.
