The Over Flo x Westend Laura dog handled a rise in journey easily, leading from start to finish to take out Thursday's Bet To Win Tips Stakes (516m) in slick time.
On March 20 Overflo Magic set a new benchmark at Bathurst when he clocked a time of 25.57s, only for that mark to be wiped out three days later.
Yesterday he ran 29.81s for the 516m, just 0.22s outside the record time at Dawson Park of 25.59s.
On the line he had four-and-three-quarter lengths to spare from Kaiser King ($7.10) with Irinka Lylea ($4.30) a further two lengths away in third.
"He's always had ability but he had some problems with his racing manners earlier in his career," Braddon said after the race.
"We've sorted them out and he's really been putting some good runs together."
From box six on Thursday Overflo Magic was able to get the better of an early speed battle and find the front, and from that point on the punters that had backed him in to $2.20 favouritism had little to worry about.
While the pack chased hard they were no match for the winner, who took his record to nine wins and 10 minor placings from 27 starts.
"We'll try and get him into the main 516m race here over the carnival but I'm not sure if he'll get a run," Braddon said.
"He's still only a grade 5 dog at the 516m so he might struggle but I think if he can get a start in the heats he will be go well."
