There was a big laugh from the crowd when Mr Hamilton pulled out a bag of lollies and called them "2015 Election Sweeteners".
"This is what we've all been focused on for the past two or three weeks in the lead-up to the election. It's full of promises, it's full of goals, it's self-perpetuating," Mr Hamilton said.
However, it was his next move that really left an impression.
Mr Hamilton said it was the silent hand that should be the focus, before he pulled a knife from behind his back.
To highlight the cuts to funding he belived could come, Mr Hamilton jabbed and slashed the knife as he spoke.
"You will see in real terms more cuts to TAFE, more cuts to our hospitals, in real terms more cuts to our universities, leading to further privatisation and we'll be heading towards the American-style side of funding," he said.
"This hand will deliver mega coal mines on our best agricultural land and we will end up with coal seam gas wells across the country and a toxic legacy left for our kids."
