TWO men were arrested after a weekend fight in Walgett that allegedly involved scissors and a chainsaw.

Police will allege one of the men armed himself with scissors and stabbed the other man in the lip and chest as the pair wrestled each other to the ground.
A spokesperson for Castlereagh Local Area Command said the pair were separated by onlookers before the man who was armed with the scissors returned to his residence and got a chainsaw that he started up and revved in order to threaten the other man.
The other man fled and the a third party took the chainsaw from the man who had been wielding it.
Walgett Police attended and arrested both men. Each was charged with affray and one of the men was charged with malicious wounding.
They were refused bail ahead of an appearance before Walgett Local Court.
