A man charged with 24 historical child sex offences has pleaded guilty to five of the charges in Dubbo Local Court.

The remaining 19 charges were withdrawn by the Crown and dismissed.
The man cannot be named for legal reasons.
He is on bail and appeared in person before the court to be committed for sentence.
The Crown told the court five charges would proceed to committal.
A plea of guilty to the indecent assault of a person aged less than 16 years and under authority was entered on the man's behalf by his solicitor.
The offence occurred near Wellington in the summer of 1990-1991.
A plea of guilty was entered to the charge of attempted sexual intercourse with a person under 10 years. A plea of guilty was entered to a second charge of indecent assault of a person aged under 16 under authority.
Pleas of guilty were also entered to two charges of sexual intercourse with a person aged between 10 and 16 years and under authority.
The Crown sought the matter to go over to Dubbo District Court on March 18 for mention and the charges were adjourned to that date. The Crown made no opposition to bail continuing.
