RUGBY captain Mitch Bower has said the time for talk has stopped and it's now time for his side to deliver.
Leading into this season the defending premiers were highly fancied to make it two titles in a row but going into the final round Rugby need a win to keep their season alive.
Bower and his men currently sit fourth and meet third-placed Macquarie this round at No. 3 Oval in a make-or-break clash.
The scenario is simple. The winner goes through to the Whitney Cup finals and the loser can look forward to next season.
For Rugby, who are coming off a heavy loss to Newtown and a batting effort that saw them only make 68, it's time to finally deliver on all their talent.
"We know we're a good side but we also know we've been playing poorly," Bower said.
"We also know we can beat any team on our day so it's time for us to stop talking about it just do it and put it into action."
It's the opposite feeling in the Macquarie camp with captain Keiran Brien admitting he didn't even expect to be in this position.
The Blues lost a host of players during the off-season and then lost star player Jason Green to injury in recent months and Brien said a finals place would be huge for his whole club.
"It would be unreal just to go through to the finals but if we made the grand final it would be unbelievable," he said.
"That's something not myself or even 'Greeny' thought possible at the start of the season.
"We've been a bit up and down and lost some matches we probably should have won but it's been great the way it's turned out after we were written off at the start of the season."
Despite Brien stating his club is happy to be in this position, he said the Blues are determined to beat Rugby and make the finals again.
"Batting is there key and bowling is ours so it should be a really good contest but I'm backing our boys to do the job," he said.
While Rugby have real strength in their batting lineup, Bower said it's obvious they need to improve on last week's effort.
"The boys had their tails between their legs a bit but it's not too bad," he said.
"We have to (improve), we're not going to beat them with 100 but we're going to turn up knowing we can win and we'll give it our all."
Today's match begins at 1pm.
