More than $10,000 was raised for the Jackson family who suffered a blow in December when Matthew and his wife were seriously injured after a scooter they were riding was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident.
Mr Jackson had been a retained firefighter for the past 10 years, where he was on call 24/7 outside of his regular work.
Organiser, Paul Berry, said Mr Jackson faces months of rehabilitation before he will return to work.
He said the generous amount of money raised would go towards assisting the Jacksons in paying for medical and living expenses.
Mr Berry said more than 100 people attended the event, which he said was "a surreal moment".
The big items for the auction were popular among bidders, with one lucky person walking away with return flights from Dubbo to Sydney.
"The other items were amazing too," Mr Berry said.
"We had accommodation at Quest Apartments and the zoo up for grabs as well as a guitar donated by Jennifer Hawkins."
Mr Berry said he was blown away by the support from the Dubbo community.
"The room at Club Dubbo was packed," he said.
"It's been unbelievable to see people stepping up to help someone they don't even know."
