Steel's current litter have all achieved plenty of success recently and Susannah Cargo's win yesterday was her fourth in a row.
The Fabregas X Lady Cargo bitch jumped well from box eight and got across to the lead early and from there she went on to win by two lengths.
Despite being the form trainer of the region at the moment, Steel admitted he worried about the wellbeing of his dogs more than he got excited about their prospects.
"I'm a bit nervous these days, I'd hate to see anything happen to them because the best ones usually seem to go on me but this is the best litter of dogs I've had for eight years," he said, before speaking about Susannah Cargo's performance. "That's just the way they are, they're good box dogs and they come out and go and just love chasing."
Susannah Cargo ($1.50) passed the post ahead of Little Meeka ($14.20) and Kaiser King ($7.90) yesterday.
With Musical Cargo winning at Dawson Park recently and the likes of Isabella Cargo and Suzi Cargo also impressing lately, Steel knows he's got a rare group of dogs on his hands.
"Things are going well for the dogs, they're a good little litter and all as good as one an another," he said.
"They're all promising and seem to be getting quicker and quicker all the time and that's what I like about them, they seem to want to perform better.
"I'd still like to move them up in distance a bit because I know they can run it but I've got time so while they're winning and making money that's all that matters."
Yesterday's other two races of interest were the heats of the Unibet 0-2 Wins, with Firebee surprising to set the fastest time of the day.
Firebee ($6.60) did not start particularly well from box two in the first of the heats but mowed down the field down the back straight and comfortably got to the lead.
From there she had too much speed and went on to win in the time of 30.40 seconds by two-and-a-quarter lengths from Irinka Grant ($4.50) and Piper Tyra ($20.00).
In the second heat it was the Robert Ingram trained Sheza Good Girl who finished first, just a tenth of a second slower than Firebee.
Sheza Good Girl ($3.70) won by two-and-three-quarter lengths from Beatrice Mel ($16.50) while the Daniel Hoskins-trained Cosmic Rhythm ($20.50) was third.
