Member for Dubbo Troy Grant visited the society, saying they were a great organisation and he was glad the government were able to assist in providing funding for the construction of a shed to house props, backdrops and electrical equipment.
"Community Building Partnerships is an excellent way of getting much needed funding for smaller projects in regional communities and this is great example.
Mr Grant said he was delighted the NSW Premier Mike Baird announced the roll out of over 1500 community projects across NSW in 2014.
"There was a strong level of interest from the community for the available funds, with almost 3000 applications received across NSW.
"Projects in Wellington range from $20,000 to $3000 and will see community infrastructure improved as well as encouraging the enhancement of local community based activities that create more vibrant and inclusive communities.
"Local businesses and construction jobs will also be supported which is a welcome boost in improving local investment in the community," Mr Grant said.
"I look forward to seeing the benefits to our communities as projects are undertaken and put into use across the electorate."
