A man has been arrested following a home invasion in Dubbo earlier this month where residents were allegedly attacked with knives.

About 4am on Monday February 9, police from Orana Local Area Command were called to Cobra Street after two men allegedly broke into a house.
A resident, hearing noise, got out of bed and was confronted by intruders in the laundry.
One of the men allegedly attacked the resident with a large knife, causing lacerations to his forehead, cheek and neck as well as his hands and arms.
The resident’s wife got out of bed and was allegedly confronted by another man holding a smaller knife. She suffered lacerations to her right hand and thumb.
The men tried unsuccessfully to tie the couple up and stole cash before leaving the premises.
Police were called and a crime scene was established with detectives and Forensic Services Group attending.
About 2pm Tuesday investigators attended a Maitland residence and arrested a 31-year-old man.
He was taken to Maitland Police Station and charged with special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.
He was refused bail to appear before Maitland Local Court.
