Police have charged a second man with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing at Coonabarabran this week.

About 12.30am on Wednesday a 37-year-old man was walking on Castlereagh Street when he was attacked from behind by a several people and sustained multiple stab wounds.
The alleged assailants left the scene, and the injured man ran into nearby Charles Street.
Witnesses heard the man calling for help, placed him in a car, and took him to Coonabarabran Hospital.
He was transferred to Dubbo Base Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is believed to be in a serious but stable condition.
Police from Mudgee Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
Following inquiries, about 4pm yesterday Sunday detectives stopped a car travelling between Binnaway and Coonabarabran and arrested a 32-year-old man.
He was taken to Coonabarabran Police Station, where he was charged with attempted murder, assault with intent to rob, possess weapon with intent to commit serious indictable offence and intimidation.
The man was formally refused bail to appear before Dubbo Local Court.
