The talented four-year-old was impressive in his first four career starts, especially in a win at Narromine in May of last year, and after getting back into work about three months ago Lundholm was hopeful heading into today's seven-race meeting at Parkes Jockey Club.
"It's his first start back so we hope we've got it right but we know he's got a fair bit of potential so think the half mile should suit him today," Lundholm said.
"It's a big bonus having Greg (Ryan) onboard too, he's been wanting to ride him."
Lundholm is currently recovering from a broken leg suffered while working about three months ago and has been extremely thankful to two of his close friends, jockeys Ryan and Kody Nestor, for helping him keep his stable running while he's been out of action.
"Since I've been out with a broken leg he (Ryan) and Kody have been giving me a good hand," he said.
"It's been tough but everyone has picked up the slack and I've got a really good team with mum and dad helping and Greg and Kody too, they're good mates, and the winners have still been coming.
"I think that just shows how good the team is, I haven't been able to work much but it's still getting done and we're still getting winners."
John's Jet, who will line up today in the Telescope Tyres & Batteries Class 2 Plate (800m), is also very much a family affair for Lundholm with the gelding by Youthful Legs out of the mare Friends Venture, which was won by Lundholm's mother, Amelia, at the 2006 Wellington Boot carnival.
The horse is owned by Lundholm's parents while his uncle and aunty also have a share.
Lundholm, who won the Kings Hall Jewellers Silver Goblet at Dubbo Turf Club, will have two other horses in action at Parkes today, both looking for career win number one.
Baradine Bound will jump from barrier eight today in race one on the card, the XXXX Gold 2YO Country Plate (800m), while Boof's Da Marn will be hoping it is lucky career start number 14 in the McGlynn & McGlynn Accounting Maiden Plate (1600m).
Baradine Bound will also be ridden by Ryan.
"He's a two-year-old and he's had two starts and Greg was on him last race and said he was a bit unlucky. That was at Gunnedah when he ran third and was beaten by three-quarters of a length," Lundholm said.
"I think the half mile might not be ideal for him but he'll be hard to beat, he'll be very competitive.
"And Boof's Da Marn is going up to the mile for the first time which will suit him, he was on a wet track last start at Gunnedah.
"He's always been a two and three-year-old and might have messed around a bit and never got him the right race but it could be his day."
The first race at Parkes' TAB meeting today is at 12pm with the last jumping at 3.20pm.
