Moran has taken over the top role from successful predecessor Pat Rosser and he could not be happier with how his 2015 campaign has started.
"Everything is going great at the moment," the star half said.
"I have been really impressed with the attitude and enthusiasm of the players.
"Everyone is very keen which is making my job a lot easier," he said.
The Spacemen began the 2014 season slowly but with the likes of Moran finding form late in the year, they made a charge for the finals and finished the year as runners-up after going down to Dubbo CYMS in the decider.
While the loss of Rosser to the north coast and Todd Barrow to Group 10 outfit Panthers leaves big shoes to fill, the Spacemen have acquired the services of Papua New Guinean Kevin Frank from Forbes.
The barnstorming Frank is a welcome addition after it looked like he was going to join the club in 2014.
That move never materialised but all is in place for the PNG star to have a big year in 2015.
The squad has also been bolstered by former players returning to the club, which according to Moran is a good sign.
"The fact these players (unconfirmed at this stage) who want to come back says a lot about what a great club we have in Parkes," Moran said.
"With the addition of these players, I am really happy with the make-up of the squad.
"We are always on the look out for new additions though.
"I have to thank our committee for the work they have done.
"They have worked tirelessly to sign up all the players, retain our sponsors and control the financial aspects of the club.
"Because of their hard work, I have been able to focus solely on the football side of things which has been great.
"Without a good committee, you can't have a successful footy club," he said.
