Mr Lawrence accused the Dubbo MP Troy Grant and the government of arrogance when it comes to announcing whether Playmates will be able to stay in its current location on the grounds of Dubbo Hospital or be required to move to a new location when stages three and four of the hospital redevelopment take place.

He said attempts by the Labor Party to force the government to commit to a response had been unreasonably ignored. Mr Lawrence said the government failed to respond to parliamentary questions on notice by deputy opposition leader Linda Burney within the required 35 days.

Even when the response did come, Mr Lawrence said it was unsatisfactory.

"Clearly this arrogant government didn't think Playmates was important enough to bother responding within the 35 day limit," he said.

"Then when the answers were received they completely failed to actually answer the questions. I think people are thoroughly sick of politicians who won't answer questions.

"It is simply unbelievable that our local member can't even ensure basic questions such as these are answered."

Mr Lawrence said he wants Dubbo MP and Nationals leader Troy Grant to sort out some of the biggest issues surrounding the hospital redevelopment including the future of Playmates and the funding of stages three and four of the hospital redevelopment.

"I am again calling on Troy Grant to announce a firm promise of funding to secure the future of Playmates," Mr Lawrence said.

"The Playmates issue is not one that should be the subject of election promises. It is a day to day business of government issue and should be treated as such. Funding should be sorted out immediately."
