8.50am: WATER WATCH - In the 24-hour period ending at 7am this morning, the residents of Dubbo consumed 28 megalitres of drinking water. This is 35 per cent of the planst daily treatment capacity and equivalent to a residential water consumption of 483 litres per person.
8.45am: Petrol watch - Motorists at Dubbo are paying an extra 10 cents per litre for unleaded petrol compared to their counterparts at Forbes.
In the week ending January 11, NRMA's Bowser Busting recorded the average price for unleaded petrol at Forbes was 118.3 cents per litre.

Bodies of deceased dogs were found around the property according to animal activist, Debra Tranter, who told Fairfax Media and the RSPCA about the property on Wednesday.

DUBBO: Two people have died in a car and truck crash near the city at the weekend.
DUBBO: The city's airport was closed at the weekend while work was undertaken to reseal the runway for the first time in about 20 years.
WELLINGTON: Police in the state's central west are continuing their inquiries after drugs and suspected stolen items were seized from a home at Wellington.
DUBBO: The city continued to steadily grow in 2014 with an additional 354 choosing to call the city home. Of those who moved, 234 people or 133 families, were registered through the Evocities program.

COBAR/ BOURKE: Mostly sunny, southerly winds 15 to 25 km/h. A top temperature of 32 degrees tipped for Cobar and a hotter 35 degrees for Bourke.
