The Swift Fancy x Playing Fair dog took out the Unibet Stakes (400m) at Dawson Park, a race which he was lucky to get a start in after originally being a reserve runner.
On Monday Cleary took Myalla Monaro to Bathurst for a race over 307m, and he surprised many by leading most of the way to win at juicy odds of $13.20 on the NSW tote.
There was no such luxury on offer for punters yesterday as the dog was sent out as a $4.50 favourite in a wide open market.
From box one Myallo Monaro was able to show the same early speed he displayed on Monday and found the front, although his cause was aided when the well-supported Epic Fusion was checked just as he appeared to be challenging for top spot.
The carnage outside him enabled Myalla Monaro to pinch a break on his rivals, and it was a break he wouldn't relinquish as he went on to score comfortably on the line.
Orara Rod ($11.70) ran on well to finish second, albeit beaten four lengths while the Paul Braddon-trained Dimitr ran on well to finish in third place, a further length away.
Myalla Monaro's time for the 400m journey was a handy enough 22.96s, with the win taking his record to four wins and six minor placings from 18 starts and earnings of almost $2500.
The win by Cleary's dog was the second race in succession where a reserve runner had been able to take out the major prize.
Little more than 15 minutes earlier the Graeme Smith-trained Bobby Bolt ($7.00) showed great speed to cross over from box eight through the early stages and take out Happy New Year From Dubbo Maiden (400m).
The Magic Sprite x La Lola dog only got a start when Lethal And Ready was scratched on race morning but made the most of it to break his maiden status at his seventh start in a race with a two-and-three-quarter length victory.
