Jaxson Paul Stanley Gordon was a little later than the New Year's countdown, but made it into the world at 2:16am to be among the first children born in 2015.
The 3.780 kilogram, 53 centimetre newborn is the first child of Kelsey Meineke and Tyson Gordon.
Jaxson was born on his due date- a rare occurrence, Mr Gordon said.
The significant birthday should mean a fantastic party when he is old enough, Jaxson's dad added.
"He's going to have an awesome birthday when he's 18," Mr Gordon said.
Addison Maree O'Ryan was one of the last babies of 2014.
First-time parents James and Tanya O'Ryan elected to have the 3.66 kilogram, 49 centimetre baby girl via caesarean section at 11:06am on the 31st.
"She gets a birthday party and New Year's on the same day," Mrs O'Ryan said.
"She just scraped in for (2014)."
Christopher Ronald Williams, the first baby of Sky Howlett and Christopher Williams couldn't wait for the New Year's party and entered the world on December 31 at 3:25pm. Mr Williams said the idea of a New Year's Eve baby sounded great.
"He'll have fireworks for his birthday every year," he said.
