A BALLARAT two-year-old has died after a single car accident in Clay Wells, South Australia about 11pm on Monday.

The toddler died in the Mount Gambier Hospital after a Hyundai SUV left the road on the corner of Clay Wells Road and the Princes Highway and crashed into an embankment.
The 24-year-old female driver and her 40-year female passenger, both also from Ballarat, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
South Australia police said major crash investigators are still at the scene.
The Princes Highway was closed between the Penola to Beachport Road and the Naracoorte Highway while the Robe to Penola Road was closed between the Naracoorte Highway and the Beachport to Penola Road.
