Alicia's idea for the Purely Enchanted range sparked to mind after she created her first water colour work for her daughter, Evie.
The response from her colourful pieces were instantly recognised by friends and family, and the rest as they say was history.
"Aside from teaching, I've always loved art," Alicia said.
Since she began painting in September, Alicia said business had thrived.
"I've had such a steady number of orders," she said.
"It's been nice to be able to share something with the community, which was originally between myself and my daughter."
Alicia said her works were custom-made.
"Water colours are usually associated with pastel and pale colours, but I've taken to using bright and vibrant tones, Alicia said.
Purely Enchanted will showcase items for sale, as well as Alicia's newest designs.
Although this is the first exhibition of Alicia, it certainly won't be the last.
"I plan to return to teaching during 2015, but only part-time," she said.
"I'm definitely going to continue on with this."
