To be held at Sports World Stadium, the day is being held to raise funds for three Dubbo juniors - Ben Patterson, Wade Burrowes and Marty Jeffrey - who have been selected to represent Australia at the World Youth Indoor Cricket Championships to be decided in South Africa.
Tremain has made himself available to be in Dubbo for the day despite his rise in stature in the outdoor game that has seen him spend this season with contracts for the Speed Blitz Blues and Sydney Thunder for the Big Bash series.
He is a local Western junior having started his cricket at Yeoval and Wellington before going to Kinross at Orange and playing in Orange and Dubbo first grade competitions. He then headed to Sydney where he has impressed with the ball.
The Blitz 4-a-side day is structured so that cricketers, and people of all standards, who would love the chance to just play some fun cricket and help a great cause will get the chance to do so. As a bonus they get the chance to meet a genuine local cricket success story in the flesh.
Organisers of the day have set the schedules for games and are urging interested players to get together their teams of four and contact Greg at Sports World to ensure they get a spot.
