Paul Walker's father speaks about his son's death one year on

Speaking to online entertainment site E! News,  Walker said that he still feels his son's presence every day.

"I miss talking to him a great deal. He had a good heart," he said.

Walker told E! News that he wanted to spend the anniversary of his son's death alone, but support from his friends has helped him in his grief.

"That's what helped me, my friends," he said. "But the shock value is very much there."

Paul jnr died in a car accident on November 30, 2013, in California. An investigation by the LA County Sheriff revealed that a combination of speed and old tyres caused the accident.

Walker told E! News that he still goes to the crash site.

"I just look at this wide road," he said. "And think, 'How did this happen?'"

He also revealed that his son did not enjoy the experience of fame very much. Despite this, the actor's father told E! News that Paul jnr was gracious about his popularity and would talk to his fans about their lives rather than his movies or career.

"He didn't like the limelight. Paul said one time, 'I really don't like this business, but I can do a lot of good with the money I make'."

"Paul just radiated love and you can't fake that. Paul had a really good heart. I thought, 'How did I deserve such a wonderful son?'"

The Fast and Furious actor is the founder of non-profit organisation Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) which mobilises skilled volunteers in the event of natural disasters.

In January this year, Paul jnr's brother Cody Walker stepped in as brand manager to continue the actor's charity work.Cody also spoke to E! News of his brother's legacy.

"ROWW continues to be, to function, to help others even after our primary contributor, my brother, Paul Walker has passed," Cody said. "I know he would be so stoked to know that. ROWW changed his life and he was so proud of it."
