* Dubbo City Council is inviting residents to celebrate the 12th Anniversary of Shoyoen (Japanese Garden) with an evening of family entertainment. A variety of food and drink stalls will be on offer, along with a jumping castle and face painting for kids. Bring your own picnic rugs and chairs. The event will start at 5pm, entry cost is a gold coin donation. It will be held at the Dubbo Regional Botanic Gardens on Coronation Drive, Dubbo.
* Cinderella, this timeless classic will be performed by Dubbo Theatre Company as its Christmas Pantomime. Featuring some of Dubbo's strongest up and coming talent, this show has music, laughs, dancing and plenty of merriment and is fun for the whole family. The show will be held at hte Dubbo Regional Theatre in Darling Street with performances at 1pm, 3.30pm and 6pm. Cost for all tickets is $15.
* The WPCC Handmade Art Markets will be held Saturday November 22 from 9am - 12 noon. The markets will showcase an array of local talent held on the grass area of the WPCC. There are already a cool collection of local businesses and individuals confirmed for the day.
* The Dubbo Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre will host a special Christmas party for parents and carers of local kids with a disability, to give them some well-deserved R&R. This will be a special afternoon for the parents and carers, as providing 24/7 care for children with special needs can be stressful, tiring and emotionally exhausting at times. Support has been provided by local businesses including the Greater Building Society's Dubbo Branch.
* The NSW RFS will hold day two of their Women with Flair workshop providing basic fire awareness and knowledge to participants. The workshop will be held from 9am to 3pm at the RFS Eschol Brigade Station on Old Dubbo Road.
* Ultramarathon runner Kirrily Dear will be joined by Dubbo Mayor Councillor Mathew Dickerson for the concluding stages of her run into Dubbo to finish stage 5 of the White Ribbon Ultramarathon raising awareness and money to help stop violence against women in communities across the region. The Mayor will run with Kirrily the final 11kms to Dubbo to meet supporters at the Victoria Park Rotunda.
