Books that are old or no longer required for collection will be on sale, with starting prices of just 25 cents.
There will also be second-hand computers for sale, at just $120, as well as audio books and DVDs.
Money raised from the sale will go back into the library to buy new books and other items for the collection.
Manager of Dubbo Macquarie Regional Library services and collections, Lindy Allen, said the sale was a good way of recycling old books.
"Those who are avid book readers had best come in early, as the most popular books usually go first," she said.
There will also be various deals available.
"There will be empty boxes for people to put books in and we will make a great deal for them," Ms Allen said.
Books have come in from across the Macquarie Regional Library district, from towns including Narromine, Coonabarabran and Baradine, so there will be a whole range of items for sale.
Ms Allen says the annual book sale, which has been held for many years, is a great community event.
"Over the years we see regular faces. People come in form across the region, including Peak Hill and Gilgandra," she said.
The sale will start at 8am on Saturday, November 1, and will be held at the Dubbo Macquarie Regional Library undercover carpark.
