DUBBO: DREAM Festival - Lantern making workshop. 9.30am - 5pm Cost: $50. Macquarie Credit Union 2014 DREAM Festival is on this 13-25 October in Dubbo. The DREAM Festival is thrilled to announce they will be running their LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPS (15 – 24 October) which will be held at the Western Plains Cultural Centre. The workshop will be run by LightnUp Inc, who is a community based arts organisation based in Lismore, the heart of the Northern Rivers, NSW, Australia. We are very excited to have Jyllie Jackson, CEO/Artistic Director and her team to join us again in Dubbo for this year's DREAM Festival. Open to teachers, professional artists and art enthusiasts (must be 16 years or over). Two (2) all day workshops available. DUBBO: DREAM Festival - Little DREAMers at Dubbo Regional Theatre Convention Centre from 12pm Cost: Adult $25, Concession/Student/Group 8+ $19, Child U14yrs $18. Little DREAMers is a non-competitive event for groups 12 years and under, and gives younger performers a chance to display their developing talents, and dance in the same show as some of their idols.Guest performers, headed up by internationally recognised dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, lecturer, director and presenter, Christopher Horsey (a founding member of The Tap Dogs), will entertain the crowd and provide inspiration to the younger performers.Christopher will be joined by three multi-talented members of The Tap Pack: Thomas J Egan, Jordan Pollard and Jesse Rasmussen, who along with Christopher, have recently completed a season at Sydney's Hayes Theatre Company.
DUBBO: DREAM Festival - Dance Challenge at Dubbo Regional Theatre Convention Centre from 7pm. Cost:Adult $36, Concession/Student/Group 8+ $25, Child U14yrs $18. DREAM Dance Challenge is a competition of dance groups in the Open Age category, who have been invited to compete for a prize pool of $5,000.Guest performers, headed up by internationally recognised dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, lecturer, director and presenter, Christopher Horsey (a founding member of The Tap Dogs), will entertain the crowd and provide inspiration to the younger performers. DUBBO: National Rugby Championship - NSW Country Eagles v's Perth Spirit. Time: 6pm Cost: General Admin $15, Grandstand $20. The NSW Country Eagles' will land in Dubbo and take on Perth Spirit as part of the National Rugby Championships.

DUBBO: DREAM Festival - Dance Workshops at the Dubbo PCYC from 9:30am - 4:00pm. Cost: $95 per student, $80 for students who have performed in the Dance Challenge or Little DREAMers. The DREAM Dance Workshops are an amazing opportunity for dance students from towns in Inland NSW to develop their skills and talent after the inspiration DREAM Dance Events. The workshops will be conducted by the experienced and talented visiting professional performers and are open to all students, 8 years and above.Spaces are limited and workshops were sold out last year. DUBBO: Monday, October 20: Zoo2Zoo Ride. The Zoo2Zoo Riders have been riding for three days from Taronga Sydney to Taronga Western Plains Zoo in a bid to raise money for The Black Dog Institute. Come join the families and friends of the riders and cheer them on as they take on the final leg of their journey! Then join them at the West Dubbo Lions Park for a sausage sizzle at 1:30pm to help them celebrate and wind down.
DUBBO: Thursday, October 23: Both Sides - Starring Racheal Beck and David Hobson. Starting at 8pm at Dubbo Regional Theatre. Cost: Adult $65, Conc $60, Subscriber $60. Two of Australia's most popular performers come together to perform a unique blend of classical, musical theatre and popular songs in their show "Both Sides". Both Sides will explore the romance, fun and charm of musical theatre - featuring songs from Les Miserables, My Fair Lady, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Sound of Music, Westside Story and Oliver, the power and beauty of classical opera and the emotion of contemporary pop and celtic music.
