Punters at Dubbo got to enjoy a rare meeting under lights and in the $1010 Dubbo RSL Events Centre Stakes Olli Charlyn produced a commanding display to record career win number six.
After jumping well from box six Olli Charlyn ($2.10) got to the lead early while the other Williams chance in the event, Bub And Sonia ($8.30) met with trouble when clipping the fence early on.
Bub And Sonia recovered but Olli Charlyn had already set a length-and-a-half lead as they approached halfway.
Down the back straight Havago Megsie ($2.80) pushed hard for trainer Barry Evans but Olli Charlyn kept on kicking and the talented bitch went on to win by a length.
Havago Megsie finished second while Bub And Sonia held on for third in a photo-finish with Edna Keeping (Daniel Hoskins).
In one of the most high-class races of the night the favourite didn't disappoint with Len Haaring again recording a win at Dawson Park as Pure Arrogance won the Sires On Ice Stakes (318m).
Charging from box eight, Pure Arrogance ($1.70) was made to work by the David Grant-trained Major Grant ($4.60) but Pure Arrogance had too much speed down the home straight and won by two-and-a-half lengths.
Exquisette Kari ($9.90) finished third for Dubbo trainer Peter Dutton.
Earlier in the night there was a big win for the Ron Steel-trained Uniting Cargo in the Committee Appreciation Maiden (400m).
Uniting Cargo ($4.70) won by eight-and-three-quarter lengths from Tropical Fusion ($5.50) while Sheara's Kin ($5) finished third.
Jeff Mooney tasted success in the www.bettowintips.com Stakes (400m) with Accepted recording win number three from nine starts.
After winning earlier in the month at Dawson Park, Accepted ($4.70) was among the favourites and produced a stunning comeback to chase down early leader Epic Fusion ($10.80).
Mr Riley ($2.70) was close behind in third.
