It wasn't quite the perfect day for the Fishies with the Nyngan Tigers and Forbes Magpies winning the reserve grade and under-18s respectively but the men in green and white came to play in the day's main match and led all game.
Five-eighth Blake Tremain-Cannon was named Bob Weir Medallist as the best player on the ground but it was a committed team effort across the park, with their defensive effort in the first half a standout.
Parkes captain-coach Pat Rosser tried to inspire his side back into the match but it wasn't enough as CYMS made up for the disappointment of losing last year's decider to the Spacemen with another example of their attacking prowess.
Earlier in the day the Nyngan Tigers won a drama-filled reserve grade match with a thrilling final minute penalty while Forbes proved they were the best side in the under-18s division with a six-point victory.
