The rides were on offer at the Orana Caravan, Camping, 4WD, Fish & Boat Show, which by its final morning yesterday was shaping up to set a record for attendance.
Dubbo 4WD Club conducted the turns around the track, available for a gold coin donation in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Naomi Carter was keen to jump into a four-wheel drive, but Jaycen Herbert was not so convinced.
"He's too chicken," she said.
Patrick Davis, 9, had a turn in a Landcruiser, at times travelling at an angle.
"It was cool," he said.
Mick Gay, sales manager with Rural Scene Promotions, the show's organiser said asking Dubbo 4WD Club to take part was in line with their mission to run a community-based event.
He said the three-day annual event had been "absolutely fantastic" with great weather.
In the first two days almost 6000 people had attended, he said.
"It looks like we may have the best numbers ever in 14 years," he said.
"The general consensus with the exhibitors is everyone's happy.
"The caravan guys seem to be having a good weekend.
"Both big and small ticket items are going out the gate."
