The Dubbo Composite team are the new RFS state champions who receive a new Isuzu D-Max ute for their effort. Dubbo headquarters were the runners up.
The team members were among 200 of the state's finest volunteer firefighters who battled it out in a series of simulated emergency situations ranging from motor vehicle accidents, navigation and helicopter water drops to bush, grass and structure fires.
Twelve junior teams took part in the event alongside 14 senior teams.
"The NSW RFS State Championships bring together crews from all corners of hte state to enjoy friendly competition, hone their emergency skills and share experiences from their respective areas," NSW RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said.
"These teams gain great experience in fire safety, team worka dn leadership in a safe and controlled environment. It's a valuable learning and development experience for everyone involved."
