A month ago Any Blinkin' Day was a surprise winner at Dubbo Turf Club when the $17 chance was victorious in the King's Hall Jewellers Silver Goblet but yesterday he proved himself as one to watch for the future with another hugely impressive win at the Dubbo track.

The three-year-old gelding, coming off a fifth place at Narromine two weeks ago, was always well in control during yesterday's Sam's Liquid Waste & Hire Class 1 Handicap and showed again the powerful turn of pace down the home straight to win by a length.
"He waits until that last bit and he likes to have a crack at them so it's good, it's hard to find a horse like him who won't give up until they hit the line," trainer Clint Lundholm said after the win.
"He does like this track, it's home to him and he's back up on his legs today, maybe at Narromine he was a bit flat but today he was spot on again."
Northey got out of the gates well with Any Blinkin' Day ($4 equal fav.) as he and Grass Cutter (Matthew Cahill, $4.60) set the early pace.
While Any Blinkin' Day faded to sit behind Grass Cutter and Enigami (Claire Nutman, $6) as they approached the 700m mark but once Northey moved to the inside there was no stopping him from claiming his second career win.
The Bob Tyack-trained Bulwarra Belle ($4 equal fav.) was another to show plenty of speed down the home straight and finished a length behind in second while Enigami (Claire Nutman, $6) was a further length behind in third.
Lundholm was of full of praise for Northey's efforts in the saddle and admitted a lot of the pre-race planning came from the jockey.
Another positive to come from the win was the more consistent race the gelding ran and Lundholm credited that with the decision to use blinkers.
"He's getting more confident, he's racing a lot more true," he said.
"The blinkers are helping, here when he won last time he was ducking behind runners and he did at Narromine too but with the blinkers today he raced a lot straighter in the clear so I'm very happy."
Any Blinkin' Day's win in the third race followed on from Coming Or Not ($9) claiming victory in the King's Hall Jewellers Maiden with the Robert Lane-trained gelding getting home two lengths ahead of Chilly Prediction (Leanne G Henry, $3.50) and Star Of Legs (Matthew Cahill, $3 fav.)
Garry Lunn then got his name on the winner's list when Bouledogue (Samantha Clenton, $7) went past the post ahead of Dane's Rocket (Beany Panya, $6) and Kangaroo Ted (Jeff Kehoe, $9).
