Not only did Lunn win the Tattersalls Hotel Benchmark 45 Handicap (1000m) with Strong, he also managed to land the quinella with British India finishing second in the 12-horse field.
Strong ($4.60, Jeff Kehoe) raced outside the leader Zingarosy before taking over to record a good win from British India ($6.00, Glenn Lynch) and Ain't She A Dane ($7.00, Martin Haley).
The margins in the race were one-and-three-quarter lengths by three-quarters-of-a-length.
The second leg of Lunn's double was Rockbuster, ridden by Forbes apprentice Catherine Markwort, in the Royal Hotel Benchmark 45 Handicap (1550m).
Heading into the Gilgandra meeting, Markwort had an unbeatable lead in the Western Racing Association apprentices premiership, which concludes at Warren today.
Rockbuster ($8.00), raced handy to the speed and was too good for Father ($3.80 fav, Greg Ryan) and Storm Runner ($4.60, Leanne Henry), which carried a big weight and had a tough run from an outside barrier.

Dubbo trainer Frank Hayes advised stewards prior to the Gilgandra Bowling Club Maiden Plate (1300m) that Little Dusty would be ridden more forward than in recent starts.
The tactics worked as Little Dusty gained a rails run when the leader Amazin' Amy hung outwards.
Little Dusty ($13.00, Martin Haley) then held on to beat Our Craftsman ($4.40, Eleanor Webster-Hawes) by a half-head, with Ballading ($13.00, Catherine Markwort) in third place.

Classical Melody regained winning form in the Harry Whitney Memorial Benchmark 50 Handicap (1300m) for trainer Brett Thompson.
Bern Bee, Orbitor and Beauticious Jen set a fast pace with Kody Nestor giving Classical Melody ($7.50) a nice run just off the speed.
The mare then finished best to defeat Darcy's Delight ($3.80, Greg Ryan) by a long-neck with Sensational Moment ($6.00, Ken Dunbar) a further half-length away in third place.
