SDW matched the Bulls for periods of the game but they couldn't stop the competition leaders from recording their 10th win of 2014.
The dominant force in men's soccer in recent years, the Bulls will be feeling confident once more as the competition enters the final four rounds.
Macquarie United continue to impress this season as they defeated Wellington on Sunday.
It hasn't all gone to plan for United this season with Kim Antonsen and Andrea Rossi both suffering horrific season-ending injuries but Alan Auld's men will still fancy their chances of toppling the Bulls come finals time.
In the round's other match, Orana Spurs scored a comfortable 3-0 win over RSL 78's as they cemented third spot and kept the pressure on the top two.
RSL 78's remain at the foot of the ladder but only one point separates them, Wellington and SDW while the top three are well clear at the summit of the competition.
