The Rams travelled to Canberra and took on the Gunners on Saturday before playing the Queanbeyan Yowies, and Forrester said there were some pleasing signs from his players, especially in the match against the Gunners.
"The result on the scoreboard wasn't a reflection of the game, we were pretty competitive for three quarters then they kicked away a bit," he said.
"The boys really put in and I was pretty happy with the result, Canberra had a lot of young and fit players and they're a feeder side for bigger clubs and I think some were even Australian Institute of Sport players."
The Rams went down 96-65 on Saturday night at the Belconnen Basketball Stadium before backing up the next day and playing the Yowies.
Forrester admitted fatigue may have played a factor but also said his side had no luck when it came to the umpire's decisions.
"We didn't start really well, the first game might have taken a bit out of us, it was our first double-header," he said.
"We got the raw end of the stick with a few calls and Tye (Forrester) injured his ankle in the first quarter."
The Yowies, second in the conference behind Lithgow, were too good for the fifth-placed Rams from there and went on to win 103-59.
Damien Reid scored 15 against the Gunners and followed that up with 10 against the Yowies while Mark Willis scored 14 in each match.
With a number of players getting into double figures for the weekend Forrester said it was something he'd like to see more of when the Rams travel to Wagga to take on the third-placed Heat.
"Tye should be right for the game so we should be at pretty full strength," he said of the trip to Wagga.
"Having four or five players around 15 points is the goal, we've had one or two do it but when we get up to four or five then the results we'll be better and we might be winning a few."
