The finding is among those in a new report that has mapped the impact of stroke across Australia.
The Stroke in Australia: No postcode untouched report and website contains data complied and analysed by Deloitte Access Economics to estimate the number of strokes, survivors and the death rate.
The study was funded by pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim.
It suggested there were 2094 people per 100,000 living with stroke in the Parkes electorate in 2014, compared with a national average of 1886.
NSW National Stroke Foundation executive officer Greg Cantwell said the state's greatest risk factors for stroke included the 26 per cent of people with high cholesterol, 18 per cent with high blood pressure and 45 per cent who were physically inactive.
"Our report shows that no postcode is untouched by stroke," he said.
Every 10 minutes someone in Australia would suffer a stroke, Mr Cantwell said, close to 12,000 people would die this year from stroke and two-thirds of those that survived would be disabled.
"Despite successive Commonwealth governments recognising stroke as a national health priority, Australia does not have a nationally-funded strategy or the care services to address widespread need," he said.
While the Parkes electorate had a higher than average rate of stroke, the region was not listed in the top 10 list of federal electorates with the highest number of stroke survivors.
It was also not among the top 10 electorates where the highest number of strokes were estimated to occur in 2014, nor among the electorates with the highest number of deaths estimated to occur this year.
The report also identified stroke risk hotspots based on their rates of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, irregular heartbeat and physical inactivity. Parkes did not appear in any of those top ten lists.
"Whiel this ranking can help with service planning and coordination, our report demonstrates that the burden of stroke is significant in all parts of the country," Mr Cantwell said.
