Their choice of clothes was enough to make others clad in three warm winter layers shiver.
But these hardy types didn't even think it was cold.
"I guess it would be a bit cold today without a jumper on," Sam Beal, who was dressed in shorts and a jacket, said.
Yesterday's minimum temp of minus three degrees showed that winter really is here.
But it was still warmer than the lowest minimum temperature on record in Dubbo, which was -5.4 degrees C.
In the first eight days of July 4 days have started out in the minuses.
Thursday was -1.4, Friday was -0.2, Saturday was -1.5 and yesterday was -3 degrees C.
Maximum temperatures have ranged 10.9 to 17.5 degrees C.
The forecast temperatures for the next week show a couple of days with zero degrees, but no minuses.
