Mark Ernest Boyd was taken into custody at Narromine on April 26 on four charges of assault and single charges of special aggravated break and enter inflict grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated break and enter in company and malicious damage.
He has been refused bail three times in Dubbo Local Court.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution asked for an adjournment when Boyd was brought before Magistrate Andrew Eckhold this week.
A prosecutor said a large brief of evidence was waiting for medical reports and forensic results, including analysis of DNA and telephone records.
The court heard a barrister had been briefed. All charges were adjourned to July 23.
Prosecution facts tendered to the court allege Mark Boyd, 27, entered a house in Murgah Street, Narromine, at 1.30am on April 26 in company with his brother Clint David Boyd, 29, of Trundle.
The co-accused are alleged to have forced their way through a front door and bedroom window.
Police allege 54-year-old Graham Deveril sustained grievous bodily harm when he was punched and kicked to the head. Deveril was taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment and transferred to Sydney in a critical condition. He was placed in an induced coma at Westmead Hospital.
Police allege Debbie Hitchcock sustained actual bodily harm. Amanda Lawrence and Emma-Jane Stanley were allegedly assaulted. They were treated by paramedics at the scene.
Police allege the house was "trashed". Prosecution facts said furniture, a refrigerator, television, front door, screen door, front window and wall-hung ornaments were damaged or destroyed.
The alleged offenders were arrested in Duffy Street, Narromine.
Clint Boyd has been granted bail on charges of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, common assault and damage property.
Mark Boyd remains in custody at Wellington Correctional Centre.
