THE Dubbo Devils under-15s soccer side has returned home champions after winning the Country Cup at Mudgee last weekend.
The Dubbo side was the dominant side in the Western Youth League and finished undefeated, scoring 44 goals and only conceding five, and they showed all their class at Mudgee.
The first match in the final saw the boys beaten 5-1 by Far South Coast but they bounced back in amazing way, winning the second match 5-0 to lift the Cup.
Connor Crain kicked two goals to go with his Western Premier League Golden Boot award and confirm his status as one of the region's best young strikers.
Goalkepper and captain Jarrod Miller was another to standout in the win.
Crain's Golden Boot award was even more impressive due to the fact he has won it for the past three years now while he did face a stern challenge from Chad Peters, who kicked 9 goals in his first season of representative soccer.
Louise Kerr and Kurt Golden both kicked seven goals throughout the season while Tyler Spang kicked a valuable four.
Other players to pick up awards were Will Graham and Isaac Skinner.
Graham was recognised after making a seamless transition from attack and defence and impressed with his skills and also his focus and reliability.
Skinner picked up the Payer's Player award, always a special award due to the fact it's voted on by your teammates, after a successful season featuring great skills and sportsmanship.
