Corzan Effect ($15.00), trained by O'Connell's Steve Jones and driven by New Zealander Samantha Ottley, was too good for Abercrombie Alice ($6.10) and race favourite Marquez ($2.80).
The four-year-old mare peeled out wide on the final turn to give herself a clear run down the straight, coming home in a quick mile rate of 1:58.9.
The battle for the race lead was hard fought from the gates as I'm No Lady held off Prince Raymac on her outside.
Around the first turn though Aurora Scott poked his head through the pair to take up the running, leaving Prince Raymac briefly caught three wide.
Into the bell lap Marquez sat well primed to make a move in the one out, one back position.
On the final turn the favourite got into the clear three wide but Corzan Effect had followed him the whole way.
Corzan Effect went one wider and the favourite couldn't keep up.
Abercrombie Alice was initially held up for a run on the inside but finished the fastest of any horse to flash home for the runner-up place.
Ottley was pleased her filly could come through with such a finish considering the race tempo.
"They went out super hard early and she got a fair run and did just enough to get over the top of them. It all helps, every point is great," she said.
It's been a purple patch for the Jeremes Jet x Corzanello filly, now having three straight wins after previously having just the three to her name from 24 starts.
Heading into yesterday's meeting at Young New Zealander Andre Poutama led the AYDC points score on 49, building a good lead over Dylan Egerton-Green on 36.
Amanda Turnbull sat in third, a single point back on 35.
