Cr Brady said it was important to get the word out to Cobar's residents of the opportunity since the airline called in the receivers, KordaMentha on Sunday.
She also expressed concern that many of those who hold tickets for seats might not get their money back.
"I heard that one family spent $2000 in tickets on Friday and the airline went under on Sunday," Cr Brady said.
However NSW Fair Trading Commissioner Rod Stowe advised travellers who were scheduled to use the service or are facing further costs after becoming stranded, is to investigate the following options including credit card charge back, travel insurance, contact KordaMentha or use alternative forms of transport.
"The NSW Government has organised coaches to help transport passengers in centres where Brindabella flights have been cancelled," commissioner Stowe said.
A timetable for coaches linking Cobar and Dubbo airport through NSW Train Link has been released. For more information call 13 22 32 or go to www.transportnsw.info or phone the hotline on 1300 668 824.
