About 480 riders were eager to hit the Morris Park tracks, and for many it was a first on Dubbo's soil.
Many riders and families camped at the tracks making their time more enjoyable.
Mother Nature wasn't too kind on the eve of the first day's racing. Nonetheless the day was to begin.
On Saturday the juniors took to the track for their practice laps to get a feel of the conditions.
During round one of the 65cc race, Motocross NSW unfortunately had to make the decision to cancel the 50cc and all 65cc classes as the riders were not getting traction leaving them 'stuck in the mud'.
A class of 10 girls aged between 12 and 16 years in the 85cc 2st-150cc 4st struggled in the muddy conditions but were not going to give up.
Ashleigh McCormick from Oakdale took the winning position from Tana Dickson (Maitland) and Kaitlyn Fuller. Mudgee riders Gabby Flack and Charlie Dray came in seventh and eighth.
Twenty-six riders competed in the 100/125cc 2st 13-15 division and it was a tough class.
Many good riders were in this division and the win went to Jordan Hill of Oakdale from Joel Adamson (Grafton) and Brendon Walther (Oakdale).
Dubbo's Bailey Aitken came home 22nd and Dylan Behsman 20th.
Only eight riders competed in the 100-125cc 2st 15 years group but it was still a strong one.
Dylan Heaton of Maitland claimed first place from Brock McLeary (Lakes) and Jaiden Corrigan (Wollongong). Dubbo's Trent Wheatley came home with a fourth placing, bettering his effort from round in the process.
Sunday was a beautiful sunny day for more junior classes. The track was ripped up the night before and still wet in many areas.
Oakdale's Tyler Darby took the win in the 85cc 2st/150 4st 9-12 years with Wollongong's John Bova second. Dubbo riders placings were Bailey Lucca (22nd) and Connor Albert (28th). In the non-qualifying class Dubbo's Ryda Deveson won from Oliver Marchand (Moree) and Oliver Ferrari (Dubbo).
The 85cc 2st/150 4st 12-14 years was another large class.
The qualified field was Riley Dukes (LMMCC) in first, second was Brendon Walther (Oakdale), with Cooper Pozniak (Lakes) in third.
Dubbo's Tom Geale rode hard with a placing of 14th. Jordon Yeo, who missed out on round one with injury came in 21st, Bailey Aitken 24th, Luke Grey 29th and Jackson Bayliss 30th.
Jackson took a fall in the last round leaving him a broken thumb.
In the non-qualified class Jye Gosper (Dubbo) beat home Bailey Morris (Maitland) and Cody Fitzgerald (Dubbo) with Dubbo's Heath Irwin fourth.
Oakdale's Jordan Hill was victorious in the 85cc 2st/150 4st 14-16s from Travis Silk (Lakes) and Tom Craig (Coffs Harbour). Dubbo's Dylan Behsman finished 11th.
A small group of girls competed in the 100-150 2st and 200-250 4st 13-16 years division with first place to Ashleigh McCormick (Oakdale) from Ashlee Camerilli (Wollongong) and Jordan Leigh Wickham (Baulkam Hills).
The 128-150cc 2st and 200-250 4st 15 years entertained both on and off the track.
Some brilliant riding was displayed with Blake Colleton (Tivoli) winning from Brock McLeary (Lakes) and Jaiden Corrigan (Wollongong).
Dubbo's Trent Wheatley improved again from round one to finish fourth.
The challenge in the last round between Wheatley and Corrigan was a great battle as they continuously passed each other.
Sunday came to an end and the committee took to the tracks in preparation for the last day of state titles on Monday.
As the practice began on Monday morning Mother Nature showed her fury and the heavens opened dropping between 15 and 20 millimetres of rain in a short period of time.
A few riders pulled out but majority of them were looking forward to get out on the track and rip it up.
The Championship Pro Open was only a small class but some great skills were displayed as they showed they could ride in the worst conditions.
Dubbo's Brodie Hartin had a spill in the first round resulting in him not finish that race while Dubbo's Ryan Byrne took a tumble in the last round but he quickly got back on his bike and pursued the leaders.
In the end Kody Wheeler (LMMCC) claimed victory from Aiden Brown (Hastings Valley) and Brodie Hartin (Dubbo), with Ryan Byrne in fourth.
The Pro Lites MX2 was a small group with Michael Parker (Cessnock) victorious from Aaron Tanti (Oakdale) and Aiden Brown (Hastings Valley) with Dubbo's Aaron Rankmore fourth.
The women were fantastic out on the track and they showed how fit they were to ride in the wet conditions.
Tori Dare of Nowra was the top female rider with Micayla Atkein (Moree) in second and Mikala Holzwart (Cessnock) third.
In the first race Dubbo's Ashleigh Blenkiron was in second place until she came off, aquaplaning a few metres across the muddy track.
The weight of the bike in mud was a struggle for Blenkiron to lift but through pure determination she was back on the bike finishing off with a fifth placing.
The 16-19 years division had quite a few pull out but didn't stop the remaining nine from attempting to rip it up. A regular to the track Joel Wightman (Lakes) was first from Corey James (Wollongong) and Aaron Tanti (Oakdale).
The Clubman Lites was an entertaining affair with Wollongong's Dylan Lochhead first ahead of Ethan Baillie (Cessnock) and Ryan McClelland (Lakes). Dubbo's Bradley Rankmore finished 10th.
Clubman Open again featured a small group but was a great race with Lochhead too good for Mitchell Bowen (Dungog) and Ian Smith (Denman).
Dubbo's Marty Ashworth watched the vets class from the pits with a broken arm as first place went to Christian Horwood from Nathan Brochtrup (Mudgee) and Stephen Moylan (Oakdale).
Despite the conditions of the track from the bad weather, all riders showed their fitness, strength and pure determination and they all should be pleased with their results.
