Residents are expected to be part of a big crowd at the meeting at the Westin in Martin Place.
It is the first time that the multi-commodity miner and explorer has held the annual event in Sydney. The under-construction Tomingley Gold Project (TGP) and the proposed Dubbo Zirconia Project (DZP) are reported to have prompted the move.
Gold production at Tomingley is expected to begin late 2013, following the granting of a mining lease by the state government early this year.
Construction is reported by Alkane Resources managing director Ian Chalmers to be "currently on time and within budget".
The DZP, based on one of the world's largest in-ground resources of rare metals and rare earths at Toongi, is set to make Alkane Resources a world producer by early 2016.
Alkane Resources will use the TGP to help get the more ambitious and high-profile DZP across the line. The two projects will require a $1 billion investment across the next two years, creating almost 1000 jobs in construction and production.
The four directors of Alkane Resources will travel to Sydney for tomorrow's meeting.
They are Mr Chalmers and Tony Lethlean of Perth, and chairman John Dunlop and Ian Gandel of Melbourne. Previous annual general meetings in Perth have been followed by information sessions in other cities, including Sydney.
