The city is now a "highlighted location" on the website through an agreement reached with Dubbo City Council.
Workabout Australia is a leading Dubbo-based national employment service company with 3300 "club members" who look to its website to find work as they travel the nation.
Workabout Australia director Warren Williams said in recent years it had attracted many workers to Dubbo and district, with Fletcher International Exports one of the employers supplementing its workforce with travellers.
He said Workabout Australia had helped find skilled and semi-skilled people to perform a range of duties in the Dubbo region, from school bus driver and cleaner to waitress and circus worker.
Yesterday he pointed to the website's business listing service as a way for Dubbo businesses to promote their services and products to travellers before they reached the city.
Workabout Australia founder and author Barry Brebner has applauded Dubbo's prominence on the website.
The ninth edition of the Workabout Australia book is currently being written by Mr Williams.
